Maybe think about the new game first, so you can at least attempt to pique the interest of artists you wish to attract with your novel concepts and innovations.
Having a demo with simple placeholder art that already shows off some of the new mechanics would be ideal, though. (You can add other users as testers, so you do not have to publish an unfinished game, just to be able to show it to others.)
I have planned out the game and a friend has powered its gameplay and features with many ideas, and currently I'm working on gameplay. I have permission from an musician to use his/her music and I will have a working version (and maybe a website) soon, but thank you for the feedback!
